How can we help you?

Cannot launch the Technics Audio Center.: Please turn the device off and on again.

Please uninstall this app and install again.
Selecting a song: If you select the same main unit from another app, connection to the main unit will be lost. To play back using your app, select the music source or song again.

Depending on the music source device, playback time of the song may be wrongly displayed. For details, consult the manufacturer of your music source device.

The music source icon can be switched by horizontal scrolling.
How to login TIDAL or Amazon Music: If you use the latest versions of Technics Audio Center and the audio devices, use the browser to login to TIDAL or Amazon Music.

Check the default browser of the device. Please set the default browser to Safari.

Image authentication may be displayed when logging in with the browser.

The browser tab used to log in remains. If you don't need the browser tab, close it.
Cannot find device to cast.: By adding the device to the Google Home app, it will be displayed in the Cast list.
To appear in the Cast list, you must accept Google's terms of service by following the steps below.

1. Tap 「Other Settings」 on the 「SETTINGS」 screen
2. Tap 「Google Cast」 on the 「Other Settings」 screen
3. Tap 「Accept」
※If you have already accepted, the acceptance screen will not be displayed.
[SOURCE]What sound sources can be added to shortcuts?: The sound sources that can be added to shortcuts differ depending on the model.

SL-G700M2: Radio, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SL-G700: Radio, TIDAL, Deezer or Podcasts.

SU-GX70: Radio, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SC-CX700: Radio, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SA-C600 / C100: Radio, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SC-C70MK2 / SC-C65: Radio, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SC-C50 / SC-C30: Radio, TIDAL, Deezer or Podcasts.
[USB playlist]I can't see my registered playlists.: The playlist cannot be played back properly with the other USB memory except the registered one.
When the contents of USB memory is changed or another USB memory is connected, delete all tracks and add them again.

The setting is deleted when AC mains lead is disconnected.
It may also be deleted when this unit is turned off while Network Standby (SL-G700) / Standby Mode* is set to "Auto" or "Off".

[FAVOURITE]What sound sources can be added?: The sound sources that can be added to FAVORITE differ depending on the model.

SL-G700M2: USB-A Front, USB-A Rear, Radio, Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SL-G700: USB Front, USB Rear, Radio, Spotify, TIDAL, Deezer or Podcasts.

SU-GX70: DAB/DAB+, FM, USB-A, Radio, Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SC-CX700: Radio, Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

SA-C600 / SA-C100: DAB/DAB+, FM, USB, Radio, Spotify, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Qobuz, Deezer or Podcasts.

[ROOM]How to enjoy grouping wireless and wired main units?: Stop playback of the main units you want to group, and then group them.

When you select a sound source on the 「SOURCE」 screen and start playback, the playback sound will be output from the grouped main units.

You can enjoy grouping up to 6 devices.

SpaceTune (Auto and Measured) cannot be measured in the grouped state.

In the grouping state, AirPlay playback, Google Cast (formerly known as Chromecast built-in) playback and Roon Ready playback are not supported.
Playing these sound sources will cancel the grouping.Please use other sound source playback.

When the Standby Mode* / Network Standby (SC-C50, SC-C30) setting is Off, the device that turned off the power will be released from the group.

[ROOM]How to enjoy Amazon Music HD playback in multi-room?: Set up a multi-room with the Amazon Music HD compatible model at the top.
[ROOM]Audio lags when watching videos.: Audio may be delayed when playing in multi-room.
Please cancel multi room.
[SETTINGS]What are Shortcuts?: Customization of frequently used items for quick and easy access on top of SETTINGS page.

[SETTINGS]What is Balance function?: You can adjust volume balance when using Stereo Pair function.
When adjusting Balance function, the overall volume may decrease or increase.
After adjusting Balance function, you may adjust the overall volume level according to your preference.
[SETTINGS]What is Voice Mode?: This is a function of SC-C50 only.
You can change the settings on the 「SETTINGS」 screen.
This setting makes it easier to hear human voices, and is suitable for use when playing radio or podcasts.
[SETTINGS]Are there any precautions for Space Tune?: If you haven't done "Auto", you cannot select "Auto". Please select "Measure newly" at first.

If you haven't done "Measured", you cannot select "Measured". Please select "Measure newly" by iOS device at first.

In parallel, Space Tune setting items are depending on which model you are operating.
[SETTINGS]What is Volume Limit?: This function limits the volume control from the app to prevent the main unit's volume from being unintentionally set to a high volume.
By setting a volume limit, you can prevent the volume from suddenly increasing due to incorrect volume control or an unstable network environment.

Which audio device works with Technics Audio Center?: It can be used with SL-G700M2, SL-G700, SU-GX70, SC-CX700, SA-C600, SA-C100, OTTAVA™ f SC-C70MK2, OTTAVA™ f SC-C65, OTTAVA™ S SC-C50 and OTTAVA™ S SC-C30.
※DLNA speaker is not supported by this app.
Which iOS device is supported to run Technics Audio Center?: Please check the supported iOS versions on App Store.
Which languages are supported?: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Canadian French, Russian, Swedish, Polish, Finnish, Danish and Japanese can be displayed. The language is automatically switched according to the set language of the iOS device. If you have set a non-supported language, it will be displayed in English.
How many songs does the Technics Audio Center handle?: The number of songs which can be displayed on the browse screen is 8000. If all songs are not displayed when select DLNA server as music source, please arrange maximum 8000 songs in one folder. The maximum number of songs which can be stored in the queue is 1000.
The DLNA speakers are not displayed.: DLNA speakers are not supported in this app.
Please use Technics Music App.
Do you have a search function?: You can search for songs on your iOS device and NAS. From the 「SOURCE」 screen, tap [Music Server] or [Music on this device] and enter the keyword in the search box.
A list of songs that include keywords such as song name, artist name, album name, and file name is displayed.

Note:

If you narrow down the search range, please perform the search on screen of the folder you want to narrow down.

It may take longer to search songs of NAS.
What is Space Tune?: You can set the sound quality to suit the location where the Technics device is installed (on the side of a wall, in the corner of a room, etc.) or adjust it automatically.
- Free : No objects(wall,etc.) around speaker(Initial value is here.)
- Wall : There is a wall behind speaker.
- Corner : Speaker is in the corner of the room.
- In a Shelf : There are speakers in the shelf.
- L/R Custom : Sets the sound quality for each speaker.
- Auto : Adjust the sound quality automatically according to the installation location by speaker.
- Measured : After measuring with iOS device, you can measure the location between your iOS device and speaker.

Note:

If you haven't done "Auto", you cannot select "Auto". Please select "Measure newly" at first.

If you haven't done "Measured", you cannot select "Measured". Please select "Measure newly" by iOS device at first.

This function is supported by SA-C600 / SA-C100 / SC-C70MK2 / SC-C65 / SC-C50 / SC-C30.

In parallel, Space Tune setting items are depending on which model you are operating.
Is it possible to change the device color displayed in the app?: It can be changed with [Model Color] in [Other settings] on the 「SETTINGS」 screen.
※Some models do not have color variations.
Where can I select the Internet Radio sound source displayed on the main unit?: [Radio] in [Streaming] on the 「SOURCE」 screen refers to Internet Radio.
Tap the station and enjoy playing.
Cannot launch the Technics Audio Center.: Please turn the device off and on again.

Please uninstall this app and install again.
Main units cannot be found in this app. Or the main units appear and disappear at random.: Confirm the network connection and settings.

Reconnect the devices to the network.

Turn this system off and on, and then select this system as the output main units again.

Turn the wireless LAN router off and then on.

If your wireless LAN router supports 5GHz band, try using the 5GHz band.

Do not place this system inside a metal cabinet, for it might block the Wi-Fi signal.

Place the system closer to the wireless LAN router.

If several wireless devices are simultaneously using the same wireless network as this system, try turning off the other devices or reducing their network usage.

If your wireless LAN router is put on the floor, place it on the table with a height of approximately 1 m.

It is recommended to place the wireless LAN router in the center of the house at the same distance from each main unit.

If the channel is currently set by the wireless LAN router's configuration, try changing to AUTO in the channel settings.

If the network is set to be invisible, make the network visible while you set up the network for this system or make a wired LAN connection.
The song playback is not performed properly (e.g. interrupted, stop partway through, skipped to next track), Volume control becomes unstable.: Using this unit with a microwave, cordless telephone or other 2.4 GHz devices at the same time may cause connection interruptions. Keep this unit away from those devices.

If any apps are working in the background, the iOS device may not be operated smoothly. Closing apps other than Technics Audio Center below may improve the situation.
- Apps that should not be used at the same time
- App for music playback and volume control
- An app dedicated to music streaming services

NAS (DLNA) playback may stop halfway. For stable playback, connect your device to a power source then open and use the app.

DSD source may not be played properly. For stable playback, it is recommended to save to a USB memory or connect to a wired LAN.

In your iOS device, Wi-Fi Settings "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" is not "Always". Change it to "Always".

DSD 11.2MHz source may not be played properly while using in stereo pairing.

Audio may not be output properly after creating or cancellation group or stereo pair. It may be improved by turning the power of the main unit off and on.

The sound may not be synchronized after grouping.

If you configure the network settings of the main unit using Technics Audio Center while music is playing, the playback may stop midway.
The Technics Audio Center does not display the album artwork in NAS.: Thumbnail images of the album artwork may not have been published on the NAS.
If you have the following settings on the NAS, please change.

Open the Settings screen of the NAS.

Select following menu. "Settings" - "Share" - "Media Receiver".

Change the setting of "Media Receiver" to "Generic Media Receiver".
"Can not play." message appears.: There are various possible reasons.

There is a possibility that network connection to the main unit is terminated.

If you select the songs of iOS device or NAS as a music source, please play the song again after about 1 minute.

It does not correspond to the song with a DRM. Please choose the songs without DRM.

Turn the main unit off and on again.

Check the available memory of your device. Free memory of more than 100 MByte is required.

Shorten the name of music data files.
The volume display on Technics Audio Center and the volume display on the main unit are different.: The volume display on Technics Audio Center shows 0 - 100% relative position to the main unit volume value. Therefore, the volume value of the main unit and the volume display of Technics Audio Center may be different.
The permission popup is no longer displayed.: On iOS14 or above, you cannot use the app normally unless you allow local network search. Please allow the application permission of 「Allow local network search」 from Settings → Privacy.
The stereo pair is not displayed.: There is a possibility that the main units have already been grouped. After ungrouping, set the stereo pair.
Even if you operate dB with the remote control or the main unit, the change after the decimal point will not be reflected on the app screen.: Your app will not be able to change the value after the decimal point.
File names are not displayed correctly or content is not played correctly.: The file name may contain unrecognizable characters such as # or %. If you remove the special characters, it may appear and play.
