USB connection
When connecting your smartphone and the camera via USB for the first time
- 1Start “LUMIX Lab” and tap the
> [Add Camera] or the 
at the top right of the screen. - 2Tap [Connect via USB].
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- 3Connect the camera and the smartphone using a commercially available USB cable.
- If a message appears on your smartphone screen asking for permission to access the connected device, please allow it. The connection will not be established until you do so.
- The camera and the smartphone will be connected.
- When connecting via USB to a camera that has not been paired, the Bluetooth connection will be established automatically in Step 3. If the connection is not established, enable the Bluetooth function and repeat the procedure starting from Step 1.
When connecting via USB for the second time or later
Simply connect the registered camera to the smartphone using a USB cable to establish the connection.
- The following functions cannot be used when connected via USB.

- Remote recording
- Shutter Remote Control
- Firmware Update
