II. Upgrade Video/Imaging firmware

HDR function upgrade for CX800/CR850

Step 3. Copy the firmware file onto an USB flash memory.

Preparation of the USB flash memory

Please prepare a formatted USB flash memory with more available free space than the self-extracted file.

Note : When formatting the USB flash memory, all data (including protected data) will be erased and can not be recovered.
Please ensure you back up your important data so you don't lose it.
You can use your SD card in the same way.
Insert your USB flash memory to your USB slot of your PC.
Copy the file into the Root directory (*1) of the USB flash memory.
(*1) Root directory = The first or top-most directory in the hierarchy.

Step 4. Install the firmware update.

Outline :
It takes about 10 minutes to update the firmware.
During updating the Video/Imaging firmware, the black screen appears and the power lump starts blinking.
Don't disconnect the USB memory or turn off the TV.
When update is finished, the TV may automatically restart.
Please disconnect the USB memory and you can use the TV as usual.

  1. Turn on the TV.
  2. Insert the USB flash memory prepared in STEP 3 into the USB terminal of your TV.
    3. Please use USB 1 input of your TV.  
       
     
    		 
    		 

  3. Press OK button.
         
       

  4. Select "Yes" and press OK button.
         
       

  5. A black screen will appear and the software upgrade starts.
    During update, the power lamp starts blinking.
    It takes about 10 minutes to finish the version up.
         
       

    Warning: Don't turn off the main power or unplug the power plug. If you unplug the power plug by mistake, please insert a USB memory again and plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
    The upgrade will resume automatically.
  6. When the update is finished, the following screen will display.
    Sometimes the following screen appears. Press "RETURN" button the returns to normal screen.
         
       

  7. Disconnect the USB memory.
         
  8. Confirm the new version of the system software. Refer to Step1.
    9. Note : If the update fails, please switch the set on and off at least 3 times and try again.
