About a Network Download method

Panasonic is constantly improving the unit's firmware to ensure that our customers are enjoying the latest technology. Please follow the steps to update the unit's firmware.

Downloading takes approx. 15 to 45 minutes.
Do not disconnect the AC mains lead or turn this unit to standby while updating.
Note
  • - During the update process, no other operations can be performed.
  • - Updating the firmware may reset the settings of this unit.
  • - If a power outage occurs during a firmware update, the LED indicator on the top may continue blinking after power is restored. In this case, disconnect the AC mains lead and connect via wired LAN, wait for at least 3 minutes, then reconnect it. This may complete the firmware update and restore the update display or return to normal operation within 15 to 45 minutes.
    ･If the unit still cannot be operated, consult the dealer.

Update via Internet

Preparation
Connect this unit to the network.
- Make sure that the network is connected to the Internet.
Install the dedicated app “Technics Audio Center” (free of charge) on your tablet/smartphone.

Steps

  1. Open the “Technics Audio Center” app, and tap the firmware update icon downloading icon showed in Main unit list view or ROOM view. If this icon is not present, no update is required.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to start firmware updates.
    • While updating, the LED indicator on the front of this unit blinks and the LED indicators on the top show the progress of the update. When the update is successful, all LED indicators light up for 2 seconds, and then the unit restarts.
    • If the update fails, a beep sound is heard, and the LED indicators on the top of this unit blink 3 times at 3-second interval.

  • - Downloading may take longer depending on the internet connection environment, etc.

Checking the firmware version

Firmware version can be confirmed from “Technics Audio Center” app.
