Pairing, Bluetooth connection, and Wi-Fi connection cannot be established between LUMIX Sync and the camera.
On the smartphone, set the location information function to ON.
On the OS setting screen, set the location information to ON, and then activate the permission for LUMIX Sync.
(Android)
In the Settings of the smartphone, go to Location → App-level permissions → LUMIX Sync.
(iOS)
In the Settings of the smartphone, go to Privacy → Location Services → LUMIX Sync.
If the connection is not possible when Location Service is set to “While Using the App”, change the setting to “Always”.

*With iOS14, the connection may not be possible when the Local Network permission is set to OFF. In such a case, set it to ON.

Wi-Fi connection cannot be established between LUMIX Sync and the camera.
Apps installed on your smartphone may interrupt the Wi-Fi connection between LUMIX Sync and the camera.
If you use software that monitors Wi-Fi access (especially security software that guards against viruses, etc.), allow access to the camera.
Please refer to the app instructions for details.
When launching LUMIX Sync after the Wi-Fi settings is configured on the camera, the Wi-Fi connection may be not completed.
First close LUMIX Sync. Turn the Wi-Fi function off and then on again in the settings menu of the smartphone, and relaunch LUMIX Sync.
The available recording time display during recording differs from that on the camera.
Depending on the video format, the available recording time display may differ from that on the camera. This is not a malfunction.
Note that the display on the smartphone app is only a guide.
The preview images displayed during recording differ from the images actually saved.
Since the preview images on the smartphone app temporarily shows the live view images, they may not be the same as the actual images.
Tap a preview image to check the image actually saved.
Note that preview images on the smartphone app are rough images.
When launching the app after installation, messages to confirm the authorities are displayed.
Permit all since they are necessary for the app to operate normally. These messages will no longer be displayed from next time on.
If you do not permit them, the app will not operate normally. Permit the authorities on the setting screen of the OS.

In the Settings of the smartphone, go to LUMIX Sync → Permission.

(Android) LUMIX Sync cannot connect to Wi-Fi.
When mobile communication is enabled, mobile communication may be preferred on your device, preventing Wi-Fi connection. Please try the procedure below:
  1. In the smartphone setting, enable “Airplane mode” or disable “Mobile networks”.
  2. Make a Wi-Fi connection to the camera.

* If the setup above prevents the Internet communication. Ensure to reset the setting when LUMIX Sync is not used.

(Android) The Wi-Fi connection is disconnected immediately.
If there is a setting of “Avoid poor connections” or “Stable Wi-Fi control” in “Advanced Wi-Fi settings”, turn it off and try again.

(iOS) “Unable to join the network 'xxxxx'” is displayed.
The smartphone cannot detect the network to connect.
Wait a while until the smartphone detects the network to connect, then try again.

Live streaming is not possible using the tethering function.
Turn internet sharing on/off in the smartphone settings.
Alternatively, turn the Wi-Fi function on/off in the smartphone settings, and then try again.
The sound is not output during live streaming.
Since the sound is muted by default, disable the mute setting of the video sharing website.
The image is distorted or the sound is interrupted during live streaming.
Change the streaming quality setting and try again.
I cannot perform live stream anymore.
If the limit of live streams has been reached, wait 24 hours and then try again.
An error occurs when I try to perform a live stream.
The platform I want to use for the live stream does not appear on the selection screen.
Select the [Stream with RTMP/RTMPS] function and enter the streaming destination address manually.
Obtain the [Stream URL] and [Stream key] from each platform.
On the LUMIX Sync Home screen, go to [Others] → [Live streaming] → [Stream with RTMP/RTMPS].
