Useful Functions | Camera Power Operations
Even when the camera is turned off, the smartphone can be used to start the camera and record images, or check the recorded images.
Preparations
- 1Make a Bluetooth connection to the camera.
- 2On the camera, set [Remote Wakeup] to [ON].

- 3Set the camera on/off switch to [OFF].
Turning On the Camera
- 1On the smartphone, start up “LUMIX Sync”.
- 2Tap either
[Remote shooting] or
[Import images].
- (iOS devices) When a message to confirm the change of destination is displayed, select [Join].
- The camera turns on, and automatically connects using Wi-Fi.
- When starting up LUMIX Sync, semitransparent
in the Home screen indicates that the camera cannot be operated because the connection to the camera is not established.
- (iOS device) If Wi-Fi connection to the camera fails
Turning off the Camera
- 1On the smartphone, start up “LUMIX Sync”.
- 2Tap Home

- 3Tap [Turn off the camera].
- 4Tap [Power OFF].
- When starting up LUMIX Sync, semitransparent
in the Home screen indicates that the camera cannot be operated because the connection to the camera is not established.
- When [Remote Wakeup] has been set, the Bluetooth function continues to work even if the camera on/off switch is set to [OFF], so the battery will drain.
