Import Images
You can transfer images to the smartphone by selecting images saved in the camera or every time an image is recorded to the camera.
Importing images to the smartphone
Use the smartphone to save the images saved to the card in the camera to the smartphone. (Importing images to the smartphone)
Automatically transferring recorded images as they are taken by camera
Set [Auto Transfer] to [ON] on the camera connected via Bluetooth to automatically transfer a picture to the smartphone every time when the camera records an image.
Preparations
- 1Make a Bluetooth connection to the camera.
- 2Set [Auto Transfer] on the camera to [ON].

- When a message is displayed on the smartphone to confirm Wi-Fi connection with the camera, tap [Yes].
(iOS devices) When a message to confirm the change of destination is displayed, select [Join]
The camera automatically makes a Wi-Fi connection.
- When a message is displayed on the smartphone to confirm Wi-Fi connection with the camera, tap [Yes].
- 3When a message is displayed on the smartphone notifying that it is ready to receive images from the camera, select [OK].
- 4Confirm the transfer setting of the camera, pressor select [Set] displayed on the camera screen.
Operation
- 1Record with the camera.
Every time an image is recorded, the image is automatically transferred to the specified smartphone.
To Stop the Automatic Transfer of Images
- 1Set [Auto Transfer] on the camera to [OFF].

- If [] is not displayed on the camera recording screen, images cannot be transferred automatically.
Please check the connection status of the Wi-Fi with the camera. - When [Auto Transfer] is set to [ON], [Wi-Fi Function] cannot be used.
- (iOS device) If Wi-Fi connection to the camera fails
Sending Images on the Camera to a Smartphone with Simple Operations
Simply press the [Fn] button of the camera while playing back the images on the camera to transfer the image to the smartphone connected via Bluetooth.
- 1Make a Bluetooth connection to the camera.
- 2Press [] button on the camera to display the playback screen.
- 3Select images on the camera to transfer.
Send a single image
- Press to select the image.
- Press [Q] button.
- Select [Single Select].
Send multiple images
- 4On the smartphone, select [Yes].
This connects automatically using Wi-Fi.
- (iOS devices) When a message to confirm the change of destination is displayed, select [Join].
- (iOS device) If Wi-Fi connection to the camera fails
Using the menu to transfer easily.
- 1Make a Bluetooth connection to the camera.
- 2On the camera, select [Send Image (Smartphone)].

Use to select an image, or press the / shutter button to transfer the image.- When a message to confirm Wi-Fi connection with the camera, tap [Yes].

Use the same procedure as “Send multiple images” (from Step 3) of the Fn button.
The following images cannot be saved to the smartphone.
- – MPO+JPG
- – RAW *1
- – RAW+JPG *2
- – AVCHD
- – [MP4 HEVC] videos
- – [MOV] videos
- – 6K/4K PHOTO
- – Post-Focus
- – HLG Photo (HLG format pictures)
- – Images with displayed on the thumbnail *3
*1 For Android 7.0 or earlier
*2 For Android 7.0 or earlier, only the JPEG files associated with the RAW file are saved to the smartphone. (The RAW file is not saved.)
*3 There is a possibility that even if the icon is not displayed, depending on the model of your smartphone, you will be unable to save.
- When copying images from the camera to the smartphone, it may take time depending on the Wi-Fi radio wave environment.
- Depending on the type of smartphone, you may not be able to save or play. Please check your smartphone specifications to confirm compatible video types.
- Group images cannot be transferred/saved in bulk.
- 3D pictures (MPO format) are played back/saved as 2D pictures (JPEG).
- Images saved to the smartphone can be viewed using “Gallery” or “Photos” app in the smartphone.
- When [Auto Transfer] in the [Bluetooth] is set to [ON], [Wi-Fi Function] is disabled.
