Useful Functions | Camera Power Operations

Even when the camera is turned off, the smartphone can be used to start the camera and record images, or check the recorded images.

Preparations

  1. 1Make a Bluetooth connection to the camera.
  2. 2On the camera, set [Remote Wakeup] to [ON].

    MENU/SET[Setup][IN/OUT][Bluetooth][Remote Wakeup][ON]

  • [Remote Wakeup] is not available when connected with a LAN cable.

Turning off the Camera

  1. 1On the smartphone, start up “LUMIX Sync”.
  2. 2Tap Home Menu.
  3. 3Tap [Turn off the camera].
  4. 4Tap [Power OFF].
  • When [Remote Wakeup] has been set, since the Bluetooth function continues to work even when the camera is turned
    off, power is being consumed.
  • If you turn off the camera by pressing the camera ON/OFF button on the camera, [Remote Wakeup] will not work.

Turning On the Camera

  1. 1On the smartphone, start up “LUMIX Sync”.
  2. 2Tap either Remote shooting[Remote shooting] or Import Images[Import images].
    • (iOS devices) When a message to confirm the change of destination is displayed, select [Join].
    • The camera turns on, and automatically connects using Wi-Fi.
