Q1. I have installed WindowsMediaPlayer9. But, when I play an ASF file, it stops in about 3 minutes 20 seconds.

Q2. When I play back the recorded ASF (MPEG4) file on the PC, sound does not emerge.

Answer2.

To play back sound, the audio decoder software (G.726) is required. Play a MPEG4 file, while connecting to the Internet, and the decoder software will be automatically downloaded.

  • Note:
    In the WindowsXP SP1 and SP2 environment, automatic download function will not start working.

Q3. When the scenes were recorded on different dates.

Answer3.

The image will be still for several seconds wherever the date changes.
The images are played back smoothly if the scenes were recorded on the same date.


Q4. When more than 99 scenes were recorded on the same date.

Answer4.

The image will be still for several seconds when the scene changes every time 99 recorded scenes have been played back.
The images of 99 consecutive scenes are played back smoothly.


Q5. When scenes lasting under 3 seconds have been recorded.

Answer5.

3 or more seconds.
Under 3 seconds.
The image will be still for several seconds after a scene which lasts under 3 seconds.


Q6. When PRE-REC was used for recording.

Answer6.

Normal recording.
PRE-REC recording.
The picture momentarily stops at the end of the last scene that was recorded normally before PRE-REC recording.


Q7. When the recording mode was changed from HN/HE to HG or from HG to HN/HE.

Answer7.

The picture momentarily stops where the scenes switch between HN/HE and HG modes.
Playback is smooth if the same mode is used or the mode is switched between HN and HE.


Q8. When deleting scenes.

The image will be still for several seconds wherever a scene was deleted.
The images of consecutive scenes where they are no deletions are played back smoothly one after another.

Q9. When editing scenes on a computer using a program such as HD Writer 2.0E for SX/SD.

Answer9.
  • e.g. 1: When scenes were selected using HD Writer 2.0E for SX/SD and output to themedia

If scenes were dragged and dropped from the scene display area and output to the media, the images will be still for several seconds wherever one scene changes to the next.
This stopping of the images for several seconds wherever one scene changes to the next can be prevented by dragging and dropping the scenes in the Image display area or by clicking [Copy between media] button on the Start Menu.

When a scene is deleted, the images may be still for several seconds where that scene was deleted.
