«What is ending»
Q. What is Spotify Connect?
Spotify Connect lets you use the Spotify app on your smartphone or computer like a remote control. You select your Panasonic system, connected to the same Wi-Fi network, in the app, and music from Spotify plays through the system.
Q. Why is Spotify Connect ending?
Support for the software used for this feature has been terminated by its provider. As a result, we are no longer able to continue providing this feature on the affected models.
Q. Until when can I use Spotify Connect?
You can use Spotify Connect until December 31, 2026. It will no longer be available after that date. Until then, you can continue to use it as usual.
Q. Which models are affected? How can I check my model?
The affected models are: SC-ALL8, SC-ALL3, SH-ALL1C, SC-ALL2, SC-ALL5CD, SC-ALL30T, SC-ALL70T, SC-PMX100, SC-ALL05, SC-ALL6, SC-ALL7CD, SC-ALL9, SC-HC1000, SC-HC1020, SC-HC1040, SC-PMX150, SC-PMX152.
Please check the model number shown on your system or on the cover of the operating instructions.
«After the end date»
Q. What will I no longer be able to do?
Your system will no longer appear in the list of available devices in the Spotify app, and you will not be able to select it for playback (Spotify Connect).
Q. Which features can I still use?
All other features, such as Bluetooth playback, CD, radio, and analog input, will continue to work as usual (available features vary by model).
Q. Can I still listen to Spotify on my system?
Yes. Connect your smartphone to your system via Bluetooth, and you can continue to enjoy Spotify through it. All affected models support Bluetooth.
For pairing instructions, please refer to the operating instructions for your model.
Q. How is Bluetooth playback different from Spotify Connect?
With Bluetooth, audio is sent directly from your smartphone to your system. The main differences are:
- Your smartphone needs to stay near your system (within Bluetooth range).
- Notification sounds and ringtones from your smartphone may also play through your system.
- To play from a different smartphone, you need to switch the Bluetooth connection.
- Sound quality may differ from Spotify Connect.
Q. Will this affect my Spotify account or playlists?
No. Only the ability to select your Panasonic system in the Spotify app for playback is ending. Your Spotify account, playlists, and other content are not affected.
«Your product and repairs»
Q. Do I need to do anything on my system?
No. You do not need to update the firmware or take any other action on your system.
Q. Can a firmware update keep Spotify Connect working?
We are very sorry, but we are unable to continue providing this feature through an update. Support for the software used for this feature has been terminated by its provider, and we cannot keep the feature working on the device side alone. Please use Bluetooth playback instead.
Q. My system no longer appears in the Spotify app. Is it broken? Will repair or replacement fix it?
If your system no longer appears in the Spotify app on or after December 31, 2026, this is not a malfunction. Support for the software used for this feature has been terminated by its provider, so Spotify Connect will not be available even after repair or replacement.
Q. The operating instructions or catalog say the product supports Spotify Connect. Why is this feature ending?
Spotify Connect was available when these materials were published. However, support for the software used for this feature has been terminated by its provider, so the feature will no longer be available after December 31, 2026.
Only Spotify Connect is ending. You can still play Spotify on your system by connecting your smartphone via Bluetooth. We apologize for any inconvenience.
