Image App (iOS) - Digital Camera -

Begins Wi-Fi connection setup* in order to use this application's function.

*Available Wi-Fi features differ depending on the type of Wi-Fi connection.
  For more content details, connection problems or other ways to connect other than the method below, please refer to the digital camera's user's manual.

Read a QR code to connect *
(Applicable Model: DMC-FZ1000/G7/GF7/GH4/GM1S/GM5/LX100/SZ8/SZ10/TZ55/TZ56/TZ57/TZ58/TZ60/TZ61/TZ70/TZ71/ZS35/ZS40/ZS45/ZS50)

* In the event that the smartphone / tablet cannot clear read the QR code, please use a different connection process.

1. Press and hold the [Wi-Fi] button on the camera.
2. Start "Image App" on the smartphone.
3. Select [QR code] > [OK].
4. Read the QR code displayed on the camera in step 1 with "Image App" on the smartphone.
5. Install the IMAGE APP profile.
   Select [Install], then select [Install Now] > [Done]. The message is displayed in the Web browser.
   
   • If a passcode is required to unlock the smartphone, you will have to input the passcode.
6. Press the home button to close the Web browser.
7. Select [Wi-Fi] under [Settings] on the smartphone.
8. Select the SSID displayed on the camera in step 1.
9. Return to the home screen and start "Image App".
   
   • Steps 2 to 6 are not necessary when reconnecting.

Connect manually

1. Press and hold the digital camera's [Wi-Fi]* button, and select [New Connection] > [Remote Shooting & View]
    
      *On DMC-GM1, the [Wi-Fi] button will be [Fn 1]. The [Fn 1] button will be set for [Wi-Fi] by default at the time of purchase.
        If the [Fn 1] button is reprogrammed for another function by the user, that function will engage instead.
        To change settings, press the MENU button > [Custom] > [Fn Button Settings].
2. Tap the iOS device settings icon and turn the Wi-Fi function on.
3. The SSID of the connected destination will be displayed on the screen, so select the same SSID as the one displayed on the digital camera screen and enter the password.
4. Press the home button to exit the settings screen and start this application.
   • When the connection is complete, an image of the digital camera will be displayed on the screen.

Note:

• When changing the connection method, change it on the digital camera.
• Since Wi-Fi connection drains battery quickly it is better to recharge before use when power is low.
• In some cases, a QR code message may be displayed, but it cannot be used.
• When launching Image App, the following message may be displayed and the Wi-Fi connection may not be completed.

If that happens, proceed as follows.

• When using DMC-FZ1000/G7/GF7/GM1/GM1S/GM5/LX100/SZ10/TZ57/TZ58/TZ70/TZ71/ZS45/ZS50:
       When the ambient temperature is high, continuous recording in Burst Mode, motion picture recording, continuous use of a Wi-Fi connection or other conditions
       are causing the camera to overheat, will appear over this application's screen.
       When this happens, a warning message will be displayed within approximately three minutes.
       (Except for the recording screen, only the warning message will be displayed)
       If the message is displayed, in order to protect the camera, any Wi-Fi connections will be disconnected and the camera will automatically turn itself off.
       When this happens, reconnection or picture/video recording will be disabled until the camera cools down.
