What is LE Audio ?
LE Audio is the next-generation Bluetooth audio technology developed by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).
What are the main features of LE Audio ?
Low Latency Audio : LE Audio allows audio to be transmitted and received with lower latency.
Audio sharing : Simultaneous music sharing with multiple headphones is available.
(You cannot use some functions such as track forwarding while sharing audio.)
AURACAST : Allows to broadcast audio information such as voice and music to an unspecified number of people.
Important
- To use LE Audio, you need a Bluetooth® device that is compatible with LE Audio. Some device may not be fully functional or it may require some setting on the device even if it is declared as LE Audio compatible.
For details, please refer to the manual of your Bluetooth® device.
- Changing the settings of LE Audio Connection will clear all pairing information stored in the earphones. You need to pair the earphones again every time you change it.
- When connected via LE Audio, please remove both earphones from the charging cradle.
- When connected via LE Audio, the setting of below items will be fixed as below.
- Number of multi-point connections : 1
- Spatial Audio : Off
- Voice assistant : Off
You need to change above settings again if necessary when you select Classic Audio.
LE Audio Connection Settings for EAH-AZ100
- In the home screen of the [Technics Audio Connect] app, tap [SETTINGS].
- Tap [LE Audio Connection Settings].
- Select [Prioritize LE Audio].
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- All pairing information for the earphones will be erased.
- When the pairing sound (melody) plays, unpair this unit from the Bluetooth® menu in the Bluetooth® device, and pair again.
Note
- When connected via LE Audio, the setting of "Connection mode" is disabled (LDAC cannot be used).
- When connected via LE Audio, the setting of "Suppression of sound interruptions and delays" is disabled.
- When connected via LE Audio, you may be unable to make calls depending on the calling app being used.
- Depending on the device you connect, LE audio connection may not be stable. Please wait for the update of the OS.
- When connected via LE Audio, you are unable to use following functions.
- Multi-point connection (The number of multi-point connections will be set to "Only 1 device".)
- spatious audio
- voice assistant
- LDAC
- Google Fast Pair
- Swift Pair
- If only one earbud is used, voice prompt may not work. Also, some settings may not be possible from your smartphone.
