Preparation:

1. Connect smartphone / tablet to digital camera via Wi-Fi®

1. For connection procedure, see instructions for each device.

2. Start [LUMIX LINK] and tapat bottom of screen to display recording screen

1. Since Wi-Fi connection drains battery quickly it is better to recharge before use when power is low.

Recording

1. Tap shutter button

1. When the digital camera is set to Burst mode, tapto take multiple pictures in quick succession.

Taking pictures using the Touch Shutter function

Simply touch the subject you want to focus on, and it will automatically focus and release the shutter.

1. Tap

1. Icon will change to, and taking a picture with the Touch Shutter function becomes possible.

2. Touch the subject you wish to focus on, and then take a picture.

1. The picture is taken when the focus is achieved.
2. Taponce again to cancel the Touch Shutter function.

Using zoom

1. Tap zoom button/

1. Tap it toward T (telephoto) to magnify and toward W (Wide) to widen zoom. Zoom levercan also be used to adjust focus. To quick-shift, tap/.
2. Magnification is shown on zoom bar at bottom of screen.

Switches information displayed on the screen

Tapto display information (settings etc.) on the top and bottom of the recording screen. You can cancel the displayed information by tapping again.

Self shot mode

When taking a picture of yourself, the image on the screen of your smartphone / tablet will be flipped* (a mirror image). This function is useful for taking pictures of yourself or of a group, as you can see the scene before taking the picture.

*The actual screen when taking pictures is not flipped.

3. Turn [Self shot mode] [ON]

Taking pictures with an automatic focus point (Auto Focus)

When the digital camera is set to Auto Focus, touching the screen will display the AF Area frame, and the point of focus can be adjusted.
Explanation follows below.

1. Tap [Reset] to return the AF Area frame to the center of the screen.
2. Tapto clear the AF Area frame settings.
3. To change [AF Mode], change the settings on the digital camera, or go to [Menu] > [Recording Settings] > [AF Mode] and change the settings.

Manually selecting focus point (Manual Focus)

When the digital camera is set to Manual Focus, a sliding bar appears on the screen, and the focus point can be manually adjusted. This can be used if you want to fix the focus point, if the distance of the subject is fixed, or if you do not want to move Auto Focus.

You can adjust the sliding bar shown below by dragging it.

(During vertical display)

• Display [MF Assist] (Manual focus ASSIST)

1. Tap the recording screen to switch to the MF Assist screen, and display zoom.
2. Tap/to enlarge/shrink the image.
3. Tap [Reset] to return the magnified position to the center.

Changing recording settings

Tapto display the settings screen, and the following settings can be adjusted.
Options will change depending on the digital camera's settings.

1. Tapto return to the previous screen.
2. Setting options and setting values are only part of the digital camera items. All of the setting options and setting values will not be displayed.
3. Operation may differ from the digital camera.
4. After changing settings, the quality of the image displayed on your smartphone / tablet can differ from the image displayed on your digital camera. It is recommended that you check image quality using the playback screen on your digital camera.

Changes setting for Single / Burst / Auto Bracket / Self Timer

Tap* to display the settings screen, and the following settings can be adjusted.

* This is the icon for [Single]. The displayed icon differs depending on the digital camera's settings.

Options will change depending on the digital camera's settings.

Item	Contents
[Single]	Takes pictures in Single mode.
[Burst Shooting]	Settings for Burst can be adjusted. Multiple pictures can be taken in quick succession while the shutter buttonis being tapped.
[Auto Bracket]	Settings for Auto Bracket can be adjusted. Each time the shutter button is pressed, up to 7 pictures will be taken while the exposure is being changed according to the exposure correction scroll.
[Self Timer]	Self Timer can be set.

Record a video

1. Tap menu button

2. Tap [Recording Settings] > [Recording time]

3. Set Recording time

4. Tapat the bottom of the screen to show the recording screen

5. Tap

Recording is started.

1. While recording, the remaining recording time is displayed on screen. The clip being recorded will be displayed on the digital camera. When recording has finished, you will return to the previous screen.
2. Recording videos is set to the timer function. You cannot stop recording partway through using a smartphone / tablet.
3. The recorded image will be saved to the digital camera.

View images automatically sent by the digital camera each time a picture is taken

When the digital camera is to set to [Send Images While Recording], the recorded images will be automatically sent to the smartphone / tablet, and added to [Camera Roll] (For iPhone / iPod touch / iPad ) or [Gallery] (For Android™ terminals).
To playback added images, tap, go to the playback screen, and change the referents (→Switching referents) to [Camera Roll] or [Gallery].

1. It may take some time to display the information.

Changes to digital camera operation

If the digital camera is used while using the remote function on smartphone / tablet, the smartphone / tablet remote function will be stopped, and digital camera operations will be given priority.

1. During digital camera operation, [Camera operation is in progress.] is displayed, and it cannot perform smartphone / tablet operations. Specifically, when the digital camera is in Playback Mode, [Camera operation is in progress.] will continue to display. If you want to resume smartphone / tablet operation, please switch the digital camera itself to recording mode.
