Adding location information from smartphone / tablet onto digital camera images*1*2

*2 This function is not available on smartphones / tablets not equipped with the location information acquiring function.

Preparation:

1. Connect smartphone / tablet to digital camera via Wi-Fi®

  1. For connection procedure, see instructions for each device.
  2. Activate location information option on smartphone / tablet.

Adding location information on images in digital camera

1. Start [LUMIX LINK] and tapiconat bottom of screen

2. Tap [Time sync] to adjust current time on digital camera

3. Check [Rec. loc. Info] box to activate function

  1. Max. location data storage capacity is 600,000 entries. * New entries exceeding max. amount will overwrite older data.

* Approx. recording period is 1 month at a 5-sec. [Recording interval].

  1. Turn off [Rec. loc. Info] when not using it as it consumes battery quickly while active.

4. Tap [Send location data] to send such data to digital camera

  1. For using sent location data, see digital camera operating instructions.
  1. Tap [Recording interval] to select location information recording interval. 1, 5, 15, 30, 60 sec. intervals are available.
  1. Tap [Operation log] to display location information recording logs. Max. log storage capacity is 20 entries. New entries exceeding max. amount will overwrite previous data.

After recording begins, location data will continue to be recorded according to the set [Recording interval]. During that time, If you film with the digital camera while switching multiple SD cards, please perform [Send location data] for each SD card.

(1) Insert the SD card into the digital camera.

(2) Start [LUMIX LINK].

(3) Tap [Send location data].

(4) When [Location data sent. Erase location data?] is displayed, tap [Cancel].

(5) Switch the SD card in the digital camera.

(6) Reconnect smartphone / tablet to digital camera via Wi-Fi.

(7) After confirming connection to Wi-Fi, return to step 2.
