You can see what's going on in remote locations on your smartphone / tablet via Wi-Fi or 3G networks.

Using Home Monitor function

You can check on your home while away using a smartphone / tablet.

Preparation

1. Please refer to the video camera operating instructions and set Home Monitor of the Wi-Fi function.
2. Please turn Wi-Fi setting of the smartphone / tablet off.

1. If you are not using any mobile phone connections, you cannot use this function.
2. Depending on your smartphone or internet contract details, you may incur high data transmission fees or may reach data transmission limit, so please be sure to confirm your contract details.
3. This application is not intended for use in crime or disaster prevention.

Operation

1. Tap menu

2. Tap [Application function] > [Home Monitor]

3. Turn [Use Home Monitor] on

4. Tap [Set connect. dest.] and set

1. If you are setting for the first time, please enter the device ID and password for the video camera.

5. Tap [Start Home Monitor]

Home Monitor Mode screen is displayed.

1. It may take a few minutes to display the image.
2. You can tapto record video. Tap again to stop recording video.
3. You can tapto talk.
   You can talk for up to 10 seconds. Time left is displayed on the screen.
   You can tap again to talk one more time.
   To end early, tap the [Exit] button.
4. Tapto record a still picture.
5. You can perform zoom functions with the following slide bar.

• Home Monitor settings

You can tapof Home Monitor screen to display Home Monitor settings options* on the menu, and change the following settings.

* Not displayed outside of Home Monitor.

• Notes

1. You cannot use it while the smartphone / tablet is connected to Wi-Fi.
2. While in Home Monitor, it is not possible to switch to the playback screen even if you tap.
3. Image quality for videos displayed on smartphone / tablet will be grainy.
4. Images and sound will be played back on the screen with a delay from the actual source. When recording video, it is recorded with a delay from the image displayed on the screen.

(For iOS devices)

1. While in Home Monitor, please do not press the Home button. Next time it starts up, there is a chance that you will no longer be able to transmit in Home Monitor. If you want to exit, you must tap. If you become unable to transmit in, first force close the application, then restart it.

Using Baby Monitor function

You can use your smartphone to check on your baby being monitored by this unit when you are in another room. The smartphone and the video camera can be used like radio transceivers, allowing the users to have a conversation by taking turns. This unit can also send a notification to the smartphone whenever the baby cries.

Preparation

1. Set up a Wi-Fi connection between video camera and the wireless access point

2. Press the Wi-Fi button on the video camera, then touch [Baby Monitor] on the LCD monitor

3. Please connect the smartphone / tablet, video camera and television to the same wireless access point

4. Start this application

1. Baby Monitor screen is displayed.

1. It is the responsibility of parents or guardians to check on their child. Use [Baby Monitor] only as an aid.
2. Place this unit so that it will be out of the reach of the baby.
3. If your smartphone / tablet is set to manner mode, audio notifications will not play. We recommend turning audio notifications on.
4. Notifications cannot be sent to more than one smartphone.
5. Sound notification is only available when internet connection is established for Baby Monitor setting.
6. Depending on the sensitivity settings and the environment, [Sound Detection] may not always notify you.
   Please configure connection and sensitivity settings before use and confirm you are receiving voice notifications properly.

(For iOS devices)

1. If you are using an iPod touch, the device's sleep mode disables Wi-Fi connections and thus prevents notifications. To use this device with Baby Monitor, please set sleep mode to off.
2. To receive notifications from smartphone / tablet, you need to set the settings below.

(For iOS6)

1. [Settings] > [Notifications]

2. Turn ON [Notification Center] for Image App in the Notification Center application list

(For iOS7)

1. [Settings] > [Notifications]

2. Turn ON all items for Image App in the Notification Center application list

Operation

1. You can tapto talk.
2. You can talk for up to one minute. Time left is displayed on the screen.
   To end early, tap the [Exit] button.
3. You can perform zoom functions with the following slide bar.

• Receiving voice notifications

If the video camera detects a sound when monitoring, a message stating [Notification The video camera has detected sound.] will be displayed on the screen of a connected smartphone / tablet.
Tap [OK] to check in on your child.

• End Baby Monitor

Please tap the Return button on the device in use.

(For iOS devices)

Please tapon the screen.

• Notes

1. Video taken during Baby Monitor cannot be saved.
2. While in Baby Monitor mode, even if is tapped, the replay screen will not be displayed.
