Voice Recognition Test

Sample user and sound files are available from this website. You can download these files to test voice recognition on your computer and ensure it is working correctly.

* The user file was prepared following the procedure for voice recognition training.
* The sound file is a file recorded on a voice recording device.

Outline

  1. Download a sample user file to any folder. This is a self-expanding file.
  2. Download a sample sound file to the same folder.
  3. Import the downloaded sample user file.
  4. Import the downloaded sample sound file.
  5. Convert the audio in the sample sound file to text by selecting the user name for the sample user file.
    Confirm the audio has been correctly converted to text.

Downloading a sample user file

Download a sample user file.

Download the user file that is compatible with your Windows operating system to any directory.

  1. If using Windows 98SE / Windows Me  Panasonic.exe (5,495,332 bytes)
  2. If using Windows 2000 / Windows XP  Panasonic.exe (12,919,169 bytes)

After downloading the executable file (Panasonic.exe), double-click on it.
This will produce a Panasonic user file (in Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1 format) with the extension ".pud".

Download a sample sound file.
  1. Download the sample sound file for your edition of Voice Editing.
  2. After downloading the executable file (Dictation_Sample.exe),double-click on it.
    This will produce a Dictation_Sample.pvc.

NOTE:
From the Windows Explorer select the downloaded file. Click on "Display" then "Details" and compare the size of the downloaded file with the size displayed. If the size is the same, the download was successful. If the size is different, erase the downloaded file and download it again.
You can confirm the number of bites in () in the file s properties in Windows Explorer.
