Notifications
The [Video Intercom System] app can notify you from the Video Intercom System in the following cases.
–when a registration/deregistration notice arrives from the app
The app notifies you by playing a sound (notification tone) and by displaying a message (including the sent time and date).
Important:
•In order to receive notifications, your smartphone must be connected to the Internet. If your smartphone is not connected to a wireless network, a mobile network connection is required.
Notifications for Android devices
The app provides information about the system by playing an incoming call tone and displaying notifications in your smartphone’s status bar and notifications panel.
•When there is a notification, the following icons is displayed in your smartphone’s status bar and notifications panel.

Incoming calls
When you receive a call, an incoming call tone is played and the app’s screen is displayed.
–Android devices (locked): Slide
to accept the call.
–Android devices (not locked): Tap
or
[Accept] to accept the call. (Tap
or
[Decline] to decline the call.)
•If the app’s operation screen is not displayed, display the [Video Intercom System] app manually (i.e., tap the app’s icon in your smartphone’s home screen, select it from the recent apps list, etc.).
Notifications for iPhone, iPad
The app provides information about the system by playing a notification tone and displaying notifications in the iOS Notifications Center.
•If there was a notification, a number is displayed next to the app's icon to indicate the total number of missed calls, unread alarm notifications, or unread noticeboard notifications.
Notifications for incoming calls
When you receive a call, a notification tone is played and a notification is displayed. Tap the notification (unlock the screen if necessary) to display the operation screen of the
[Video Intercom System] app. For information about answering calls, see

•If the app’s operation screen is not displayed, display the [Video Intercom System] app manually (i.e., tap the app’s icon in your smartphone’s home screen, select it from the recent apps list, etc.).
Note:
•If notifications cannot be received, the following fixed image is displayed. Refer to
Viewing logs for information about obtaining images.
Alarm notifications
Important:
•This feature is only applicable for residents that have a room monitor.
When an alarm feature is triggered, a notification tone is played and a notification is displayed. Tap the notification (unlock the screen if necessary) to display the [Video Intercom System] app.
The notification shows an icon that indicates the type of alarm, and provides you with information such as the time and date that the alarm notification was sent as well the type of device that triggered the alarm.

Noticeboard notification from facility staff
Important:
•This feature may not be available depending on your facility’s system configuration.
When a noticeboard from facility staff is sent, a notification tone is played and notification is displayed. Tap the notification (unlock the screen if necessary) to display the [Video Intercom System] app.
A thumbnail of the noticeboard is displayed in the notification and the time and date that the noticeboard was sent is provided.
Note:
•If notifications cannot be received, the following fixed image is displayed. Refer to
Viewing logs for information about obtaining images.
Incoming call tones and notification tones
•The incoming call tones for the [Video Intercom System] app play at the same volume as the incoming telephone calls for the smartphone. The type of notification sound cannot be changed.
•The notification tones of registrations, alarms, noticeboards, or deregistrations play the same tone as standard notifications for the smartphone.
Silent mode
•If silent mode is activated for the smartphone, sound will not be played for Video Intercom System notifications.
Note:
•Notification operations differ depending on the status or the settings of the smartphone as well as the type of smartphone.
•If you fail to respond to an incoming call, an error screen will be displayed. Tap [OK] to start the [Video Intercom System] app and display the incoming call log.
•Notifications are not sent for door bell operations.
