Using HX-A1 as a Wireless Sub Camera
Setting of the Sub Camera
- Set up the Main Camera in advance.
1. Connecting to a Main Camera
- When the Wi-Fi lamp is off, press and hold the recording mode/Wi-Fi mode button for at least 1 second (approx.), and remove your finger.
- The Wi-Fi lamp will flash red.
- Press and hold the recording mode/Wi-Fi button again for at least 1 second (approx.), and remove your finger.
- The Wi-Fi lamp will flash green.
- Connection to the Main Camera will start and you will hear a beep.
- When the connection to the Main Camera is complete, you will hear two beeps and the Wi-Fi lamp will light green.
2. Connecting to a device that was not last used as a Main Camera
- When the Wi-Fi lamp is off, press and hold the recording mode/Wi-Fi button for at least 1 second (approx.), and remove your finger.
- The Wi-Fi lamp will flash red.
- Press and hold the recording mode/Wi-Fi button again for at least 1 second (approx.), and remove your finger.
- The Wi-Fi lamp will flash green.
- While the Wi-Fi lamp is flashing green, press and hold the recording mode/Wi-Fi button again for approximately 5 seconds.
- The Wi-Fi lamp will flash faster in green.
- Connection to the Main Camera will start and you will hear a beep.
- When the connection to the Main Camera is complete, you will hear two beeps and the Wi-Fi lamp will light green.
Notes:
- The HX-A1 cannot be connected as a Wireless Sub Camera while it is recording.
- When using this unit as a Wireless Sub Camera, you can neither record images with this unit nor change the recording mode.
3. Terminating the connection
- Press and hold the recording mode/Wi-Fi button for approximately 2 seconds, and remove your finger.
- The Wi-Fi lamp will go off.
Note:
Be sure to check that the Sub Window on the Main Camera disappears. This confirms that the Wireless Sub Camera function has been terminated.
