Q16: I'm not able to receive the TV Guide channel listings on my Panasonic DVD recorder. What's causing this problem?

Answer:: There are several possible causes.

1) Following the initial setup and installation, the unit was not placed in standby mode for 24 hours to do the initial data download.

2) When the unit is not in use, it should be placed in standby mode.
Not doing so will not allow the data to be downloaded daily.

3) The unit is connected to a home satellite system.
Currently, satellite delivered TV programming does not carry the TV Guide data.

4) Some cableTV companies are in transition from an analog to a digital system.
During the transition, TV Guide data may have a chance of temporarily turned off.

5) If your installation uses a cable box (set top box) the power to the cable box must be continuously left on.
If the box is turned off, TV Guide data can't be downloaded.
